Hirafu is the most popular of all the ski slopes in niseko for good reason. It's right smack in town and it has a good variety of slopes catering to all kinds of skiers. It is however very crowded. Will suggest early morning or night...More

Niseko is the one stop shop. Grand Hirafu village has it all, and Niseko Rules resorts offer a wide range of terrain to ride. Look to stay in Grand Hirafu in the main village to have walking distance to everything.

Unless you're based in Grand Hirafu, I would give this a miss. We had to queue up to 15 minutes each time just to get the chair lift up. We ended up spending more time in Annupuri instead.

This isn't a luxury resort by any means, but easy to navigate, right in town, reasonably priced and great snow even in late spring. Our family are soft black diamond folks so a few of the runs caught us off guard, but all the better!!

Only 3 chair lifts were open on weekdays plus gondola on weekends. Should close the resort - conditions are poor especially at the bottom of the slopes. Up slopes is usually close in the afternoon due to high winds. Snow conditions are poor - very...More
