I went skiing in Japan. I went skiing at Nieseko, the Grand Hirafu. I recommend going there because the snow was soft and natural. There are multiple ski lifts for different heights. It's a good spot for beginners and challenging for advanced people. The instructors are very nice.

    Amazing snow holiday
Epic snow village! The lifts are a slick operation and there are loads of different runs of varying difficulty so it caters to everyone. The tree lines make the mountain look beautiful, especially when they’re topped with snow! It’s an easy walk to the lifts (but up a bit of a hill, depending on where you stay), and there are a number of great restaurants and bars around the village.

    Amazing snow
Nice snow village! It was my first time for skiing and it was good to know that it caters from zero knowledge to pro skiers! Yes, I did my skiing class at Gran HIRAFU however, it was raining then hence I had a hard time.

Horrible and racist staff! Extremely rude and racist information desk lady. I lost my phone and asked her to call my hotel for me to pick me up and she said “no, our phone is company phone” then I said but I’m a guest here and I need help she said “ no you are not our guest..you require help from your hotel, it is not our job” then she proceeded to tell me to go away and then proceeded to help someone who’s Japanese. I asked her for her name and she laughed at me and said smth like “wee wa” Extremely disappointing!

This is a intermediate skiing mountain thats difficult to get to, difficult to move around, impossible to get good food with only a expensive 7-11 , a Lawsons and the Pharmacy selling limited food, mostly fast food items, Restaurants all have huge wait lines (inc the ones on the mountain)or are simply booked out in advance, travel to Kutchan for the supermarket is by bus and is a 20min journey with 1hr wait times between buses, we waited and hr and the bus was full and didnt stop, and there is a limited taxi service so we were stuck there till we stopped the only taxi we saw (thank god)
Lots of snow but runs are pretty short with lots of flat patches and not many black runs, most you need to walk a way to get to them- lifts are all various types, mostly old, skied far better mountains with far better lifts, runs and food/restaurants- we found Hakuba to be far superior to Niseko- all over i was pretty disappointed find Niseko a over rated skiing destination, wont be coming back - just saying

Tons of great runs for all levels of boarders. Holiday and Green were our favorite runs. I wish I could live here! Cannot wait to go back.

This place never fails to amaze, whilst we came here expecting the worst as it hasn’t been Nisekos best season, it did not stop snowing all week that we were here. Driest powder and fresh runs most of the days. Only down side to Niseko is there is not a lot to do when you aren’t skiing.
It isn’t a typical snow village as westerners are used too.
