Such a cute spot right in the centre of town. Amazing wine, amazing cheese and meat board and amazing service! Loved every minute of it!

Finally! A bar I could order cider! The staff aren’t super friendly, but it was also really busy when I went, so I can understand they may have been stressed. In saying that, the staff are attentive. Definitely felt that once you finish drinking, get out ASAP. However, I would go back for the cider

Mick is crazy, fun and loves his job. Great cozy relaxed atmosphere. Great wine. Great place to have a pre dinner drink before going next door to Niseko Pizza for dinner.

When you are over draft beer and ramen, this is the place to visit in Niseko to enjoy wine. It has a great wine selection, which you can also buy to take away, but better still, it has Mick and his team, who will happily entertain and educate you about the wonderful world of wine. With an electric mix of wines by the glass at reasonable prices, we enjoyed aged NZ Sauvignon, local Japanese wine, lots of Australian and French wines, a few from Oregon and California and a couple of cracking Italians, spanning new and traditional varietals, and best of all, nothing ‘natural’. And if they don’t have something open that you like, just ask and they’ll happily open a bottle. Plus they even have some funky craft brews to quench that apre-thirst! Such a fun place in a town with limited wine choices.

Mick and Emily are awesome. The place is small, but definitely worth the visit. Get there early so you can grab a table, there's not many. Mick and Emily were both very attentive and welcoming and knew what they were talking about in regards to alcohol. If you don't know what you want, they are more than capable of offering options for your palate. If you like what you drink you can buy bottles there. Great atmosphere and place to relax after a day on the slopes.

My partner and I went to Micks and it was very good. The place is only small but in my opinion adds to the ambiance of it.

The guys working in there are very knowledgeable and come over and introduced themselves and what they offer.

We both felt very relaxed and would definitely go back. I had a nice IPA beer and my partner had a gin and tonic and we enjoyed just being in there and feeling comfortable.

They had a large choice of wines and beers in the fridge from around the world to choose from with two beers on tap.

It’s in a great location and we will be back.

International wines at affordable prices

The owner is Mick from Melbourne Australia.
He only sells highest quality wines , beers , cheese , homemade tomatoe juice etc .

Pop in for a few drinks , pic some cheese etc and they will make you a platter.
Alternatively buy it all from Mick including you wine from his extensive selection and take it home for another day .

Stopped in at Mick’s after an amazing day on the slopes. Mick and his staff were very welcoming and clearly enjoys what they do. Although a wine bar, Mick has some lovely guest beers from local micro breweries. The IPA was up there with the best beer I have ever had. Next time I’m in Niseko, this will be my default apres pint!

We have been coming to Niseko for 6 years.

Micks Bar is our go to place for a drink pretty much every afternoon / evening,

Mick and his staff are courteous, competent and entertaining.

The wine selection is extensive and varied in both wine varietal and price. Something for everyone.

Highly recommend.

As a person who spends many days a year travelling around this planet, too often spending an evening in sterile unwelcome bars and restaurants - it’s always a pleasure that when visiting Niseko Hirafu you can walk into Micks and feel immediately welcome and have a great selection of wines and beers.

I have been visiting Niseko for many years and over those years Mick has always employed great staff and this year Monica continues that trend.

Niseko for a while was overrun by some poorly behaved countrymen of mine and Micks provided some adult solace from them. There is now a changing demographic in Niseko and Micks still provides adult solace from a different type of demographic with bad manners and behaviour!

I recommend everyone who enjoys a glass to visit Micks when in Niseko and I am sure you will feel the same welcome and warm vibe that I and my family find when we visit.
