Fantastic experience to go over this Aquaduct. So peaceful. We went early morning and then came back later so didn't have to wait long to go over.

It never Ceases to amaze me how clever and innovative the engineers were to build these magnificent bridges. We went across this in a canal boat hired from Crest Narrowboats and I just loved our 5 day abvdnture

We didn't realise that there was another aquaduct so close to the Froncysyllite aquaduct near Lllangollen. The Chirk aquaduct is not as high as the other one, but it has the benefit of a backdrop of the railway viaduct which was built at a higher...More

Quite stunning to stand at the top and be impressed with how high up the structure is and how it was built. The youngsters had fun watching the boats come and go through the tunnel and we all enjoyed crossing the border from England to...More

You can park in Chirk itself and walk to the aqueduct, its not far. Both aqueducts are spectacular and are both worth visiting, I prefer Chirk because of the railway viaduct running parallel and slightly higher than the canal
