Only an hour from Cape Town you really must go here. Very busy. Queues for the sign post but all good fun.

This is a major strategic position in navigation where currents meet from the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. It is an iconic place much loved in sailing novels and rich in biological diversity ashore and afloat. In season I'm told it offers excellent vantage points for whale viewing but the sheer abundance of the place quietens the soul even amongst the... More

If you like a bit of a walk/hike to get to spectacular views, this is the spot you have to visit if you're in the area. Once you're on the top, you get to experience very nice views of both bays left and right of the Cape and you can almost feel how the two oceans come together - well... More

The view and the walk up were really nice. However, this palce is very dependant on the weather conditions. It was very cloudy while were there so we did not get to notice the differences in the two oceans and all.

Hard to go much further south than this in the eastern hemisphere. Stunning scenery. Breathtaking vistas. Nice gift shop. Baboons!

We stopped at the visitor centre for Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope. The weather was foggy so we did not go up to the lighthouse. We did take the trail down to the Cape of Good Hope, it took about 40 minutes at a gentle pace and was not too demanding, a little effort was required but... More

Just a few minute drive from Cape Peninsula. Several wild Ostriches crossed our path on the drive over. Beautiful views and some climbing if you're up for it. Minimal parking and a lot of tour buses. Come early if possible as it seems to be less crowded.

Well worth the visit especially on a beautiful day. Spectacular scenery with good cafe if need or restaurant. If you want to reach the top view site there are steps to climb otherwise lower level gives good views and wonderful pictures
