We spent the night at Marinduque Hot Springs Resort in nearby Barangay Malbog to get an early start. We took a tricycle to the Sihi Barangay Hall and got there at 0740. The barangay charged a fee of 45 pesos and another 500 for two guides (who were Barangay Tanods or "Police"). The trail at the foothills was well-marked and... More

Mt. Malindig, standing some 2000+ meters from sea level is a majestic view of tranquility and solitude from the ridge of Balagbag mountain range, inside the Marinduque Wildlife Sanctuary. Give it a try!

I went to Barangay Sihi in Buena Vista, bought a license ticket there for climbing mt. Malindig. I was told it's only 10P, but they charged me 20P or so. Later on, when I went to the 2nd tower, I was told that I'm supposed to have the receipt from them. I hired a guide, we kept climbing. It's quite... More
