The Tatler Hotel opened in 1902. It was at the Tatler Hotel on the 8th of August, 1907 that J.J. Giltinan formalised Australia's first Rugby League Competition. In it's heyday The Tatler Hotel was a favourite haunt of rugby league players, colourful racing identities, popular radio personalities and the creme of Sydney society. For it's last 13 years the Tatler Hotel was owned and operated by the Izakidis family until it finally closed its doors in April 1986. 12 years later the Izakidis resurrected the Tatler name as a new vineyard in the Lovedale region of the Hunter Valley. The tradition continues..... The Tatler Cellar door looks at the majestic Brokenback Range and has a range of 13 wines available for tasting.

Did Sunday lunch here after tasting a big range of wines at the cellar door. Some really nice wines were then consumed with a great tapas lunch. Really nice outlook. Fantastic way to spend an afternoon in the Hunter.

We were staying across the road at Adina. We went just on closing time but the delightful young lady welcomed us warmly. We tried a good variety of whites and reds which she described clearly. Loved the Pinot Grigio and the classic dry white. The...More

We came here on the recommendation of the owners of where we were staying, and we weren't disappointed. Paul looked after us, and was certainly a character! Tried some lovely wines and a few twists on the standard fare. Would definitely come back.

Rude, obnoxious, offensive, are just some of the words I would use to describe the host of Tatler Wines at Lovedale. In a very poor display of bad taste and bad manners towards customers, after our group had visited 4 wineries that day, we made...More
