So happy we visited this amazing beach of lagoons pink sand and the greenest waters ever. We chartered a boat to get there but you can do the ferry. A MUST go to if in Chania!

This amazing place can normally be reached in two ways, on two separate days: from Kissamos by boat (usually a big ship carrying several thousand passengers) or by car on a dirt road, an extremely difficult trip for the car and the passengers because of...More

We absolutely loved the beach. Water is a little bit too cold at this time of the year (mid October) and it's a little windy but I would go back any time! Take a bottle of water to wash your burning eyes after swimming- this...More

The way to get to the lagoons include 7km off road through the mountains. The parking lot becomes very busy, so it's better to go early. After that there is a trail of about 20 minutes by foot going down hill. The view from the...More

The drive up to the car park before your trek downhill to the lagoon is an experience in itself with an unmade rough mountain road with unguarded drops on one side making it an experience for the faint hearted or negative drivers. A small charge...More

This must be one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been to. Even though visiting it requires a long descent and climbing back, it's worth the effort

Having arrived on the boat from Kissamos we had a few hours to swim and relax. The water was warm and shallow and the whole place was beautiful with the mountains coming down to the sea.

Hi. We had booked a trip to Balos so we did not use our own car. But everyone advised us to let our car in Kissamos and take the boat. It is much easier and you can visit both Balos and Gramvousa island. I do not think that... More
