It is about half an hour train ride from Fort William. It is the station just after the viaduct. The announcement on the train is not accurate. The best schedule is to take the 830 from Fort William and the 1100 back from Glenfinnan. The...More

A must for train and Harry Potter fans. The viaduct is easily seen from the visitor's centre by the Glenfinnan Monument, There is a small charge for parking in the parking area by the visitor centre but this money goes into maintaining the area The...More

Get off at Glenfinnan Station on the ScotRail. We went in end November and the train timetable only had a couple of trains running daily, so do check when you plan. Got to climb the mountains in the strong, cold wind to walk back down...More

You don’t have to be a Harry Potter fan to enjoy this place, the Viaduct is a great engineering feat set in beautiful landscape. Would recommend getting there early though - we visited in the summer at just gone 9.30am and it was already incredibly...More

This viaduct was featured in Harry Potter. We only viewed from the road and were able to get photos but if time permits and season is open, I recommend you do the Jacobite Steam train and travel over the viaduct.
