We stopped for the short walk to see the viaduct when traveling back from Skye. We missed seeing the train but enjoyed walking out into the field.

Tours are not easy to find but to be honest you need time to walk up to the viaduct, enjoy the views visit the national trust visitor centre, walk down to the monument, walk to the train station look around the museum... More

We were lucky enough to get the last space in the car park beside the visitor centre and you can watch the train go past from the car park. Or you can chose to walk up the hill (rough track) for a slightly better view.

When you arrive, the visitors center where you park will provide you a map of where to walk for the best view.
