We parked in the Strid car park, a lovely tea room and toilets are at this spot. The walk was lovely even on a very brisk day, and the family really enjoyed the views of the River Wharfe. The tea room is dog friendly, and the staff went out of their way to be sure we enjoyed proper Yorkshire hospitality.... More

£4 for a car with 4 people offered good value for money. A nice walk round the ruins and the restored Abbey and down to the river.

We took a peaceful stroll around the Abbey and nicely landscaped grounds. The Abbey is a great place to visit whatever the weather, with paths to explore for those up for a hike.

We love Bolton Abbey, whatever the weather. We're regular visitors and love to hike up to Simon's Seat and along the river paths. It's a great day out in a beautiful location. Plenty of parking and well stocked cafes.

We had a great time here. There are numerous walks in the grounds and by the river with some great activities for children to get involved in. We spent a half day here and really, really enjoyed it.

Bolton Abbey is beautiful, we went to the priory, the church and the welly walk. It was all very nice and we loved it. The ruins are stunning, come at the right quiet time they fill you with an unexplained feeling. My reasons for the average review are the following. Dogs not being on leads. There is no one keeping... More

Visited on November 5th, enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Brasserie! Had a lovely walk down by the river, the Abbey ruins were lit in red, white and blue and looked fantastic. We stayed on for the bonfire and fireworks. There were a number of food & drinks vans, there was a significant queue for all of these. The fireworks... More

We visited on the day of bonfire night and had a fab time. We parked in the first car park we came to,£8 for the day, but there's no other charges so I thought that's pretty reasonable. We walked down the the abbey ruin first which was nice, we then started the walk, the stepping stones are ace and will... More
