Bembridge Windmill is worth a visit, especially if you visit as National Trust members, in which case entry is free. Climb to the top for the full experience - fascinating little place.

Difficult parking if there are more than a few vehicles. Long walk from the road. Not good for wheelchairs. Would think that you were allowed to park near the entrance if you were a blue badge holder. Apparently, last remaining windmill on the island. Video...More

Really great stop. Steps are quite steep inside but worth going up. Very well explained signs. Beautiful windmill

After renewing our National Trust membership we decided to make the most of it whilst in the Isle Of Wight. For this reason we decided to visit Bembridge Windmill and it was certainly worth it. Very interesting little place although it seems a lot bigger...More

This is a historic windmill, connected with artist Turner, who painted it. The workings are all there to see and an interesting video sets the scene on the way in.

The mill is in a peaceful site and it is possible to walk from the mill into the countryside. There were very few visitors when we called in and we were able to study the intricate workings of the mill at our leisure. There is...More

Quaint little windmill, worth a visit (even if only a short one). Good if you have little ones who like to climb. Not so good for anybody who doesn’t like stairs.

Parking is limited to a roadside lay-by 100 or so metres away. This is a "tower mill", ie. it consists of a brick built tower topped with a rotatable cap to which the sails are attached. This one apparently has a mechanism for manually turning...More

This is a National Trust property. The site is very windy so even on a hot day take a jacket! Our 2 year old grandson enjoyed seeing the workings inside but the steps were far to steep to get a look from the top!
