We rented a house named Quinta Lee and stayed at the Lagoon for a week and absolutely loved it. The Lagoon is beautiful and tranquil. There always seemed to be a nice breeze and the water temp is nice and refreshing. If in Nicaragua you have to come and stay for a few days. It was a 2 hour drive... More

A visit to Laguna de Apoyo assures some amazing views, whether you're up high along the ridge by the Pueblos Blancos looking down, or you're at the water's edge. This is one of my favorite attractions in the Granada areas. It gets you out of the heat of Granada, get's you into nature, and will make you happy!

We enjoyed visiting Laguna de Apoyo as part of a longer trip. It was an ideal spot to have a break, lunch and swim. Other people were making a day of it. One thing I would advise is to order your meal earlier rather than just when you feel like it. It could have been because we we a group... More

Loved our day at Laguna de Apoyo. After a few days in Granada, we were looking to escape the city heat, relax, and swim. Laguna de Apoyo did not disappoint. The lake is beautiful and the water is cool. We paid for the day pass to Paradise Hotel and it was well worth it. The beach access is great, as... More

Beautiful lake and even better for swimming in. Once you get past a few initial rocks, the bottom is sandy as anything and incredibly warm... I ended up spending hours here and loved it. Bare in mind, it can be a little bit of a pain to get to as some buses take you directly there and others only to... More

We visited the Laguna with a group from a nearby spanish school. We came twice for afternoon's of relaxation with our 2 kids (7 & 9). Both times we went to the same "resort" and were able to use the kayaks, life jackets, and purchase snacks and beverages. The first time we went, it was fairly windy creating relatively large... Perfect temperature water to swim/kayak/spend the day or at least an afternoon. Absolutely beautiful crater and views - larger than you think, about 6K in diameter. Would recommend 100% - loved my time and LOVED the chance to kayak.

If you've seen the church and square of Granada, kayaked round the islets.... then this is a nice area to relax in before going to see the lava pools at Masaya volcano. The water is clean and "warmish". It's warm enough to swim in but still refreshing. We went to a private restaurant/lake front bar which had hammocks, food&drink and... More

This is a small lagoon located at 7 kilometers from the main road that goes from Masaya to Granada. Paved road. It is like a valley or crater, sorrounded by small mountains. There are several small food shops around the lagoon. The water temperature is ideal so it´s nice for a swim. There is no fee for entrance. This is... More

The lake is clean, refreshing and has great views. Would recommend a day trip here with families. Not much to do here but a great place to relax.
