My family thoroughly enjoyed the hike to the blue waterfalls. Our guide was helpful, especially with my younger boys (ages 9 and 10). The hike to the falls was rather uneventful but totally worth the beautiful blue water and thundering falls. We had opportunities to...More

Spectacular waterfall, not difficult to find, safe parking to leave your car. Pay the entry fee in colones, much cheaper than if you pay in dollars due the exchange rate applied, I found out that too late. It is quite easy hike, and lots of...More

Most important things first: it was absolutely terrifying driving here from San Jose. So make sure you're in a 4WD vehicle and very comfortable with tight turns, significant inclines, and low visibility (both fog and inability to see who's coming). The waterfall itself was beautiful...More

This is definitely one of the most amazing waterfalls I've seen! I did the rappel tour and spent so much time going down, but it was worth it!

Awesome adventure. A must do. This waterfall is amazing. A steep hike down and back out, but not difficult and well worth it.

We stumbled upon this waterfall serendipitously in late afternoon, as the road to La Paz Waterfall Gardens was unexpectedly closed and we had to detour around the west side of Poás instead. In contrast to the crowds at La Fortuna waterfall, which we had visited...More
