Arrive early to get a good seat (first come first served basis) and you face painted, it was great to see lots of faces with beautiful shapes. The dancers are real locals with a passion for the culture, so not all are perfect looking and...More

We ate before arriving so we only did the show with some drinks. It was a great experience with amazing dancing and athleticism. Everyone who was performing really looked like they were enjoying themselves. There seems to be a deep respect and pride for their...More

There are several companies offering dance shows in town, but none of them perform every day. We had one night free to see a show and Kari Kari was the only troupe performing that night, so that narrowed it down for us. I must admit,...More

There are several dance groups in the island, that perform on alternated days. Kari Kari on Tuesdays Thursdays Saturdays, the neighboring group on Monday Wednesdays and Fridays. I assume they are all pretty much the same - beautiful dancers, catchy music, some singing and talking...More

This is a must see activity as the dancers and singers represent native culture. Be warned the men are barely clothed and can be making sudden moves toward the audience. Be prepared to go on stage and dance.

We saw this show and the show next to it, but this one was better since the stage was bigger and it had more dancers. The dancers were hot, amazing bodies, so it's eye candy galore. It's not like a broadway show where the men...More

Located down a laneway from the main street, the performance can be seen with or without dinner. Audience area is crowded and cramped, and the performance lasts only 45 minutes, but is very vigorous, heavily tattooed and well costumed (not much is covered by most...More

Loved the show. The energy & the atmosphere were great. You can get drinks & queue to have your face painted. The room is extremely hot & would benefit from more fans. 100+ people crammed into a small space in 85% humidity is always going...More

We spent about five days on Easter Island, and wanted to to learn as much as we could about the culture of the island. We really enjoyed the dance performance, the energy the dancers brought to the show was amazing.

Can't remember cost of show but not excessive. Dinner is an optional extra before the show.

We took advice from our hotel. They said there was no need to book ahead - the shows were on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 21.00 hours - they took us there 30 minutes before which was plenty of time.
