Visited here whilst staying in Alfaro, it’s an amazing sight, 100 nests on the Cathderals roof, apparantly 1 nest can weigh 400 kilos, hence the man made baskets to support them, otherwise the roof caves in, which happens a lot!

A lovely square with children playing, old ladies chatting, people eating and drinking. all watched over by a glorious cathedral and the magnificent storks

What a strange experience to see so many nests of storks on one single house. Since we were there at the wrong time of day (most storks were out looking for food), we could see a couple of them. Not easy to find yet, no...More
