We visited this museum because entry to it came with entry to the Castle museum, so we thought we'd get our money's worth. I do speak some Japanese but my husband doesn't, and we both found this quite entertaining and interesting. The use of pictures and animations really helps in bringing across the stories in a way that doesn't need... More

It's well done, such a nice area with interaction and great for the kids. English is limited, which is understandable - but the interaction with the different things in the house made it fun anyway. This museum has a great interactive folk tale section where you can touch little figurines and see a shadow-play while you hear the relevant tale among many other funny and innovative ways of presenting the tales.
