The 4-hr underground mine tour is highly recommended for anyone who is curious about mine operations and diamonds. This is a working mine, i.e. still in operations, and we get to see actual workers undeground. You get boots and overalls to change into, plus a hard hat, lighting gear and an oxygen kit per person (for emergency). You tie it... More

While the surface tour was good and informative, I wish i had more time to go underground. The guide was only able to provide basic information on the geology and the mining process. The underground tour requires twice as much time but I certainly think it would have been worth it. The surface tour really only takes you to a... More

We took some friends visiting from the US on a short mine tour which was very informative. The town itself has some great shops & cafe's for browsing or enjoying a nice meal or snack. Overall a nice day out.

This attraction was brilliant. Very interesting and informative. Went on a Sunday so was only able to do the above ground tour. Still worth it. Will be going back to do the underground tour. The area of Cullinan is lovely with some great shops and restaurants.

If you have any interest in the technical side of mining, do the four hour underground tour. You get to dress up in coveralls, boots and a helmet (all needed and not for show). Before you enter the mine, you get a class on using the emergency breather which you are equipped with for the tour. I never thought I... More

We did the underground tour. What an experience, with miner Hennie. Not a clean santised trip, we came out muddy and dirty, tired and wiser about where diamonds came from. Very glad I did it.

We didn't want to take the underground tour of 4 hours+, so enjoyed an hour or so above ground with a very knowledgeable guide. Chose to go wth the guys from the Tourist Information spot who start with some museum facts & artefacts. Other tour operators in the main street offer their own options but were considerably less personable. Game-viewing... More
