My wife thought she would be bored, our assigned guide made it interesting for all. To see the Lancaster, Dakota, Spitfire (several versions) & Hurricane all in one place, up close and personal was well worth the visit. If you are lucky RAF Tornados will...More

We were possibly lucky as during our visit we not only saw the giant Lancaster, but also heard engine starts on the DC3 and a Hurricane, where lead through the history of the planes and flight by a very knowledgeable volunteer and had a constant...More

The highlight of a visit to this historic visitors centre is to see the only surviving Lancaster in this country that can take to the air - so you can imagine how we felt when we were told it was not there!! No info on...More

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit but I appreciate that its not for everyone. The Lancaster had been doing taxi runs and was an amazing sight. The food in the naafi was reasonably priced and lovely, everyone was very helpful

We visited the site expecting to have a hands on viewing the planes in service. The shop and information with stories was interesting but we had to have a guide for the rest. We listened to the guide pontificating over the role of the Spitfire...More

We were nearby at a national trust property and saw the Dakota flying circuits from Coningsby so we went to see the base that they operate from. On arrival at the centre we walked into the shop, to find we had just missed one of...More

Although the Lancaster Bomber was away at Duxford having major work done, this did not spoil our visit. We saw many historic aircraft in various states of maintenance and some being 'prepped' for a days flying. Because the Lancaster was not on show we were...More
