Well laid out, good informative videos, but let down for me by the lack of English information on the stands. If there were more information in English I would have given 5 stare and would go back again. I know this is Spain but there appeared to be a lot of information in other languages.

Came here expect a guided tour in English but website is misleading as all tours are in Spanish. However, staff here were very helpful and demonstrated how to use iPad to scan barcodes and this is available in English. The museum is very interesting and is well laid out. Well worth €3 entry fee.

We visited on a day when admission was free.So far as it goes, the museum is fairly interesting, covering from Paleolithic times to the 20th Century. But, 500 years is ignored, when the Moors ruled Spain. The era of Spanish history is not denied or dismissed, just totally ignored. Very sad really...

If you're on the Line 1 tram line from anywhere along the coast then you can hop off at the Marq station which is only minutes away from the museum. Or after a morning in Alicante centre you can get the tram from Luceros or Mercado straight to Marq (Buy a local ticket) and when your visit is over, you... More

We visited following recommendations on TripAdvisor, mostly curious about the Viking exhibition. Just inside the museum we learned that the Viking exhibition has over. They left several signs and billboards outside and inside the building as if it was still open (all in Spanish so no chance to understand that it was over in "Enero 2017", whatever it is). Inside,... We liked a lot this museum, but maybe the visit was too long if you want to see the whole museusm. It shows the histoty of this city but also history of Spain. If you have several days in Alicante don't miss it. It's a pity it's not centrally located, you have to walk like 30 minutes away from the... More

I came here by myself because I collect coins and I guessed they might have some coins so I went along to the museum last Saturday to pass a few hours by myself hopefully seeing some coins :) (I'm quite confident no-one else would have shared my enthusiasm). I paid student price to get in which was 1,50 and I... More

There is a lot here and clearly a lot has been spent on the layout but there is no atmosphere. My Spanish is ok so I was able to read the captions but there is no English so it isn't easy. The staff were not really friendly and I felt a bit like a school kid who shouldn't be there.... More
