Close to train and shopping area. The Shrine is interesting and does have a steps. You can walk around and take pictures. Don't need a guide. Just enjoy.

The Sumiyoshi Shrine is located in the Tsukuda area, which is about ten minutes by city bus from Tokyo station. You can get there by taking the green city bus from the Yaesu side of Tokyo Station, just take either of the buses which stop at Tsukishima station, the maps at the bus stops will show you in English and... The Sumiyoshi Shrine is located on the Tsukudajima islet near the Tsukishima subway station on the Oedo line. The islet itself is quite interesting as they have fishing boats parked there. Though most of the original complex was destroyed in WWII (as is the case with much of Osaka's temples), this complex dates back to the 3rd century. The bridges highlight the area and it is a nice peaceful place to visit and enjoy. (Just a few blocks from the Sumiyoshi subway line)
