The ceiling here is the same as a mall in dubai and las vegas, having a sky painting is still much nicer than any old boring ceiling. Nice to lounge but expensive area.

If you're going to Odaiba (an artificial insland in Tokyo that's easily accessible by skytrain / monorail), then you might visit Palette Town... It's a shopping complex designed to look like a Renaissance city in Italy. Not terribly interesting. You might have a quick look (outlet mall on the 3rd floor) and then go next door to the Toyota Mega... More

We were lucky enough to be there the day of a dog show, so there was dozens of beautiful puppys in costumes strolling around in their strollers! so cute! We also saw a couple of slow loris's and my day was made!!! This is a beautiful little mall and you never know what craziness you'll see next!

Area in Odaiba that has VenusFort (shopping centre), Mega Web (car museum, showroom), and the huge ferris wheel and arcade. Worth a visit, as lots to see and do here.

We love going to Pallete Town for the ferris wheel, Leisureland (with SO many UFO machines and lots of prizes to be won!), and Tokyo Megaweb. We went during the first week of January (twice!) and it was practically empty! Fun, fun, fun!

Lovely place to spend your time. Lots of photo to take if you into photo taking. We did spend our time walking around exploring the place and take quite a number of photos.

Happened to pass by this place when we were looking for the mega web. First impression was wow! It is a Nice place! But It is not something special that will draw us there. Many places do look alike today.

I'm still missing the point. Why would you to that? The idea is not bad but it got boring after 5 minutes. Its worth a quick look, nothing more, i reckon. Ferries to Asakusa are available right outside. Waiting outside on the beach is far more entertaining than this place.

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
