We stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel and decide to walk around Roppongi area. We found a couple of great eating places as well as lots of bars. A mojito bar, the mint leaf, and Frey's famous pizza was two of the best we found. There...More

We ate in and around the area on our stay in Tokyo and also went to the Geisha show. Great area for shopping and people watching. Lots of different pubs and cafes to go to.

The place abounds in meeting places - pubs, cafes and club- style restaurants with different profiles depending on age group and musical preference. The nightlife is trendy and youthful. Looks like Roppongi stays up all night, especially at weekends. After dark is when the fun...More

As an expat in Tokyo seeking a more authentic experience, I have largely tried to avoid Roppongi because it's just packed with Westerners and expats. That said, if you're missing home at all, it's the place to go because it's packed with Western restaurants and...More

Absolutely love this city! I personally think Shibuya and Roppongi are the 'go-to' cities for anyone new in Tokyo. You can find foreign restaurants and shops if you're feeling a bit homesick like Outback Steakhouse, to TGIF, to even Hooters! But if you're looking for...More

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt which is located in Roppongi and attached to the up-scale mall there. Many high end shops and a number of restaurants in the mall...along with a huge skyscraper which houses many hi-tech offices with so many younger workers, streaming...More

Akasaka / Roppongi
Not so long ago the Akasaka and Roppongi areas were
famous for their nightlife, high-class restaurants,
bars and clubs. More recently, with the opening of
Roppongi Hills, Tokyo Midtown and Akasaka Sacas, the
area has declared itself as the most fashionable spot
to be seen. The area also hosts the National Art
Center and the Mori Art Museum and lots of trendy art
