This is an excellent way of escaping the hustle and bustle of the city but at the same time giving excellent sightseeing opportunities. .

Went to Tokyo Cruise after visiting the temple in Asakusa. They were close by and this a good way to rest up after all the walking at the temple. The staff is not English speaking or at least our guy was not, he did not offer us the audio tour which we really would have enjoyed as our boat was... More

It was a pleasant surprise as I got the free bargain on her first day expedition for the year... if I put on yukata. What a chance as well and why not. Highly recommended if you could get it and weather is on your side. Thank goodness it was for my friend & I, great wind as the cruise began.... More

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
