Went up the the Tokyo City View

Roppongi Hills was a chic, high end shopping mall. I went there to the Tokyo City View Starry Show cross over 'Your Name'.

We took the time to go to Roppongi Hills because we heard so much about it, however it was very disappointing. It was like a regular big shopping mall in America. The observation deck was not worth it either. Save your time and money and explore another part of Tokyo.

I visited Roppongi Hills for a few times. To be honest, I personally do not find a particular attraction in the area. A commercial complex which combines with arts, music, local radio and television stations. But overall, when compared with places like Hong Kong or London, I find Roppongi Hills is a local Japanese business districts but fails to capture... More

Went to Roppongi Hills at night, during the spring period and it was memorable. At 9PM it was packed with couples and wanderers alike. However, not many foreigners or tourists were in sight so be sure to check Roppongi Hills at night time!

Cool place to visit at night. Entire complex was very well-lit. We had dinner here and went up to Mori Tower for night view of Tokyo Bay on New Year's Eve. The sky was clear and it was spectacular.

Gt a good sense of the city. Enjoyed the planetarium although we experienced a small earthquake when we were on the 52nd floor. I think it was okay and view is great but since I had already visited Tokyo sky tree it was not so original.

It was so cold that Christmas Day we visited Roppongi Hills! We got to taste the hot wine and sausages selling in their Christmas bazaar. The aura is so festive and people really lining up to buy the hot foods because it's so cold that day.

Staying in Akasaka / Roppongi

Neighbourhood Profile
Akasaka / Roppongi
Not so long ago the Akasaka and Roppongi areas were famous for their nightlife, high-class restaurants, bars and clubs. More recently, with the opening of Roppongi Hills, Tokyo Midtown and Akasaka Sacas, the area has declared itself as the most fashionable spot to be seen. The area also hosts the National Art Center and the Mori Art Museum and lots of trendy art galleries.
