It seemed like quite an effort to get over to Roppongi hills, en route from Shibuya scramble, so was a bit disappointed not to make it up to the outdoor skydeck as planned. We arrived at 6.30pm on a Sunday and were told we could...More

Decent views and a bit more affordable than the Skytree Tower. Definitely less crowded, so you won't feel like sardines. Central location helps to get different view of the city.

I can highly recommend the view from the Mori Building. It is much higher than from the Tokyo Tower. Theres a platform at the top, make sure you go up there! In the entrance fee, there is also the art museum included.

The Tokyo observation desk is a must see when you arrive into Tokyo. You can buy tickets on the day which we did. It can tend to be busy as the wait for the lift was long. We went up at sunset and the views...More

Outside deck was closed. Terrific 365degrees views. Day was fairly clear so enjoyed this site. Too bad Mori Museum was closed for whatever reason-went on a Monday.

Think Empire State Bldg without the open deck or the crushing crowds. There's no entrance fees and the views are stunning.

Price and wait time were some key drawbacks. I am all for enjoying experiences so I dropped the coin and joined the line. Perhaps some complimentary refreshments at the top and a viewing area where you can sit and enjoy the view would make it...More

Not so long ago the Akasaka and Roppongi areas were
famous for their nightlife, high-class restaurants,
bars and clubs. More recently, with the opening of
Roppongi Hills, Tokyo Midtown and Akasaka Sacas, the
area has declared itself as the most fashionable spot
to be seen. The area also hosts the National Art
Center and the Mori Art Museum and lots of trendy art
galleries.

Firstly, if it is too windy, the skydeck will be closed and you will not be able to access it. Secondly, i am almost certain that you can't take a tripod up to the skydeck. Cameras are allowed, so if you can go - so can the... More

Yes you can. We've done it through a website I found on Google. And we had a 22% discount and priority entry so no need to queue for silly amounts of time. Enjoy!!
