Small Japanese garden but delightful, right near the Sheraton Hotel. Extra Bonus - wedding hall is on site so on weekends and holidays you can catch a wedding party or two (we saw two parties on two separate occasions). Recomended

This was a short but sweet stop on my walking tour of the area. It was quiet as the garden was getting ready for a wedding. I enjoyed the scenery and the bonsai trees were impressive! Would go back again if I’m in the area...More

Although the Japanese garden is part of a giant wedding hall, outsiders and non-guests of the wedding can stroll around this fabulous pond garden, which is especially impressive when the azaleas are in bloom in May

Happoen Koen (Gardens) is one of the best in Tokyo. Located in the Shirogane/Takanawa neighborhoods, it is fantastic. Highly recommend year round, but is at its peak in the Fall colors or in April during Sakura (Cherry Blossoms). Small charge to enter.

This is a beautiful Japanese garden, an oasis amidst the busy city. The Bonsai trees were lovely. We spent more than a few minutes at the large pond filled with colorful carp. The whole place just fills you with peace and wonder at the beautiful...More

Along with Meiji Kinenkan and Gajoen, Happoen is one of the top/most upscale wedding places in Tokyo. It has a great garden. Restaurant was fine, but if I have to choose just one place, I'd choose Gajoen to visit.

While a way an hour or so in the traditional garden, awestruck at the bonsai on display-- some are over 500 years old-- and winding paths. Then Treat yourself to a traditional tea ceremony. The tea ceremony was not quite what I expected, as the...More

This classical Japanese Garden is only about 200 metres from Shirokanedai Metro station. It's very well manicured- all the shrubs, trees, the lawns, and bonsais- all trimmed and in place. It took a leisurely 30 minutes to look over the whole garden. At this time...More

Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with
luxury residential buildings and the scene is
constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama
park and Togoshi park are great places to see
beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as
well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a
post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish
old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa
