The Rainbow Bridge is another show of great level of sophistication evident in all aspects of the Japanese lifestyle and infrastructure. Bravo Japanese

All we wanted to get hold were to snap this beautiful bridge with a very nice amazing view. Take a taxi and you can see the true magical view. From Gundam Front, you could see this Rainbow Bridge and the walkway actually really wide and safe for all of us to hang around and relax by the side. Next to... More

An iconic bridge of Japan. Train to get to Tokyo city travels on Rainbow Bridge. The view from the train is breathtaking.

The bridge is an engineering marvel as it connects Tokyo with Odaiba..... one end being circular, which gives you a fantastic panaromic view as you travel on it by either road or monorail.

Regardless of which side you choose to walk, the Rainbow Bridge is spectacular. The South side offers fantastic views of Odaiba and, if one is lucky, Mt. Fuji. The North side has incredible views of the skyline. It takes about 30-40 minutes to walk across and isn't particularly strenuous. Well worth the time.

Not the Golden Gate Bridge but still a great sight. I traveled over the bridge via limo bus and found it the best part of the ride to Narita airport from Tokyo. Would have loved to stop and take pictures.

The Bridge is BIG, though not very. It probably connects the industrial area and outskirts to the main city. Wonder why its name was kept as Rainbow. Even in night illumination, doesn't look like rainbow colours.

So we booked a tour with the Mari Karting where you get to ride a go-kart around the sights of Tokyo whilst wearing a character onesie. It was awesome fun and highly recommended. We chose Course B that goes for 2 hours and you get to drive along the Rainbow Bridge - so you get up close and personal. The... More

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
