Whilst you can enjoy the view of the bridge any time of the day, I recommend seeing the bridge from the Odaiba Seaside Park at night to see it light up (and get a chunk of tokyo sky buildings in the background)

We had great views from Odaiba Island. Modern and beautiful bridge. Nice lightning in green tones. I suggest visiting at night.

Tokyo is a huge city but the best skyline views are from across the water in Odaiba, looking back at the city behind the bridge. It's not an architecture or engineering marvel, in fact it's not even pretty, but it's nice at night when lit up and is iconic of Tokyo. Didn't walk across because I didn't have time to... More

We went to the Rainbow Bridge around 3pm and waited for the sun to set.....we were not disappointed. Large crowds had assembled which created a slight eerie atmosphere as the darkness settled in. Loved it!! The bridge seen from the beach area is a great view. Don't miss it!!

My friend lived across the bridge and I was lucky enough to be able to always lounge overlooking this. So far its still the most beautiful city and view I have ever been to.

It's a location very good to see while you are in TOkyo. A must see! Also it's more spectacular at night in my opinion. If you have time take a cruise at night, it's sooo romantic. Also from the mall you have a better view

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
