Haneda Airport has three terminal buildings and four runways. The airport is one of the busiest in the world so planes are constantly coming and going. Haneda recommenced international service fairly recently (2010) and some interesting international airlines fly in and out of Haneda but...More

To the seasoned traveler. this will not be news, but to the rookie, it could be a life saver. From San Francisco (SFO) to Tokyo (Haneda), Japan Air Lines (JAL) flies a 777-300 ER. That ER means there is EXTRA leg room. The flight is...More

This is a small airport, but it has very limited shopping and restaurants. Fortunately, our layover was short. The staff was friendly and tried to be helpful. Next time, if we have a choice, we will choose Narita.

Outdoor observation area in the airport open to the public. Photographers will be able to get many action shots of planes taking off and landing.

As a frequent traveler, I spend a lot of time in airports. Haneda was like no airport I've ever visited. It's not just that there are pretty/aesthetic elements -Vancouver is prettier. It's not just that staff /airline personnel are friendly and helpful - Dublin is...More

Im not sure if the terminal is smaller than Narita but I like the proximity of the airport and Ginza. Took the train to and from the airport for less than 600 Yen each way. The terminal didn't seem that crowded. It's pleasant actually. Restaurants...More

Our arrival clearance was very smooth. The lanes for the arriving foreigners are very much organised with a lot of counters. The luggage conveyors are clean and so as the push carts. Beagles are going rounds checking for the newcomers. Since its 1400 when we...More

We were staying at an airport hotel and this observation deck is a nice place to spend some time on the night to see planes taking queue to land. Good spot if weather is nice, a bit noisy but that's expected.

Haneda / Kamata
Haneda / Kamata is known for its airport with many
hotels popping up with the increase in international
flights. It’s also an area that offers many shrines

Inari Shrine or Ikegami Honmonji temple which is
visited by more than 300,000 people in October's
Buddhist Oeshiki festival. The area around Kamata

I have seen travelers' comments that the hotel is great for those who have early departures. You could email the hotel directly. We arrived at 10:00 pm and it worked out nicely. We understand taxis don't run after... More

If you're planning to go straight to Narita Airport from Haneda Airport, you might want to take the Airport Limousine (bus) just look for their ticketing counter. Same way if you're going for a side trip, i would suggest... More
