First time visiting this area.. Very cool and interesting. Nature and Historical for those who seek both. Contains tunnel tombs from people buried there from eons. Small statues and gardens to view.

It's quiet, peaceful, off-the-beaten-path, and you can't believe you're still in Tokyo. Don't wear heels as the paths are narrow and slippery. Not a jogging trail.

Nice, pleasant, peaceful walk along the valley. This is really a hidden gem from the busy city. The pathway will be a bit narrow if it is crowded. Good place for a getaway for a relaxing walk and to enjoy the nature. The Japanese garden...More

Although the valley was originally formed naturally, many places, such as boardwalks, are maintained by human hands. Because the surroundings are residential areas, you may feel a scorching odor such as domestic wastewater in places of there. In summer, even more somber air may...More

Just 15 minutes by train from Shibuya this valley is an unexpected gem within Tokyo. It is not just the lush valley but also the temple at the end or beginning of the walk depending on where one starts. There is a little waterfall for...More

It is quiet, it's beautiful with lots of greens in a bysi city. The walking distance is really comfortable for children and parents. The end of trip is a quiet room with free drink, benches and a piece of playground to enjoy sunshine and breeze.

Todoriki Valley is located in Setagaya. This is the only Valley in Tokyo. There are many trees, flowers, fishes and wild birds. Not like other nature of Tokyo Downtown which is mostly artificial nature, the nature of Todoroki valley is the real nature preserved for...More

A bit narrow to walk around, but this is a nice place to have a picnic in the heart of Tokyo. Nature and Japanese gardens are simply stunning. Not well signposted to those who cannot understand Japanese. When you get out of the Todoroki station...More

We walked the Todoroki Valley on a hot summer afternoon. The change in temperature and atmosphere as soon as we entered the valley was striking. We started with a visit to the shrine at the entrance to the valley, then walked down the stips and...More
