I can’t believe this is one of the 7 Stanes, considering that group contains Glentress, AE, Kirroughtree and Innerleithen.
This is a very tame and boring trail. Nothing technical at all. It’s a course for someone that has never been to a proper trail centre.
There are also some serious diverts on at present, which aren’t clearly advertised in the website.
Also the car park (with no facilities at all) is about 2.5 miles ride from the start of any singletrack, and yes, that 2.5 miles is included in the total trail distance.
An utter waste.
Avoid at all costs.

Went on a solo trip here. Some really good and technical trails. Well signposted. Repair work being undertaken on some trails at present so there were closed. Forestry commission update their website regularly. Some of the other trails are in need of some repair work. Some brilliant descents and fun climbs. shame the section at the quarry has been blocked off but due to quarry expansion this it required. The last descent is brilliant fun. Well worth a visit if in the area and will be even better once repair works is done and the section near the quarry is opened up

Great little Red route up through the forests. Plenty parking and by the looks of the area you pass through plenty other things in the area to do.
Some fast single track on the red route with several berms, some north shore and plenty dirt to keep you on your toes.

Beautiful walking in a stunning woodland setting. A walk up to the Border Stone is well worth the effort.

Went on a sunny Sunday with my 19 year old son. We love this place. There is a selection of blue and red routes that mean all ages and abilities are catered for. Mountain bikes are essential. Don't be put off by the initial climb; it soon eases off. There is a nice semicircular bench up at the top near the skills loop for picnics and it's near to the start of a couple of red routes, one of which is only about 3 Kms so perfect for a quick spin while others are on the skills loop. Quite a small place by Trail centre standards but size is definitely not everything as Newcastleton proves.

Quite a bit of fire road, but the single track is very enjoyable; smooth, fast and in great condition (May '17).
Nothing too technical, which suits me-prefer Wong able to do a good ride without worrying about what could be round the next tree!14.5mile red route.
Skills area is very good, although the red sections don't reflect the red on the route (much more technical), so don't let that put anyone off if they're new to 'reds'.
Zero facilities at trail head other than free car park and public toilets.
Grapes pub isn't the best.
Kielder is 20mins away and Lonesome Pine trail there offers a similarly enjoyable ride, with added benefit of superb views and lots of facilities.

Rode the Red trail. It really is a very well laid out track with some great scenery and features. Unfortunately, there are some serious pot holes on the trail that impact the flow of the track. Just needs a little maintenance. Still well worth the ride. Would ride again.

Very good trails, though limited if you are technical rider. Good for families, skills area now open which is good fun. Plenty of amenities in Newcastleton, limited amenities at the actual centre. Worth a visit.

Whilst staying in Newcastleton over the weekend we decided to have a go at riding our bikes on one of the cycle tracks (Blue Run).
It was very hard but we enjoyed the experience, bit too old to try any harder runs.
