We really enjoyed this inland beach. It has warm water, nice scenery, a restaurant/bar and free parking. It is popular with families with small children. The only downside is the lack of good change facilities. The bathrooms were not well kept.

This is a delightful spot for swimming, canoeing or just sitting and chilling out. Picnic area and beach. Loos and drinks available and a short walk into town for something to eat if you don't bring your own

This is an artificial lake which has been made into a very nice little beach and activity area. You can either swim or do water sports and little children can wade out on a sandy ground. If you like to take walks, there is a...More

It’s a luxury to have a free river lake in the middle of town. There is some sand and grass to lay on and get tanned. The water is warm and there is a bar for some refreshments. There is also enough parking. Recommendable for...More

River beach. Nice contrast between green water and white sand. Hot water (at least in july). There’s a restaurant where you can have a meal on the shadow. There’re boats to rent. There’re are small islands in the middle of the river.

The beach is just outside the village, next to the road that takes you to Mértola. It's a rather refreshing view, specially these summer days when Alentejo gets really hot. The beach has all the facilities needed to provide security and comfort to your family....More

Finally! A beach in Portugal that's not too cold to swim in! Easy access, free parking, sand and shade. What more do you want? Clear-ish water and even a lifeguard!
