Pusat Laut (literally "Center of the Sea") is renowned among Palu's many beaches for its large sinkhole. Probably some 3 to 4 meters deep, it has some refreshing sea water for the adventurous to swim in.

But don't forget the beach itself: because of the difficult access, especially compared to (relatively) nearby Tanjung Karang Beach, Pusat Laut is less frequently visited by tourists and thus quite clean. If you're looking for a place of silent contemplation, or just to feel the breeze, it's a great choice.

I was very surprised when I got to Pusat Laut-it was quite clean and beside the jumping kids in the hole here was a very relaxed atmosphere. Nice for sunsets...

around 1 hour from Kampung Nelayan. Gorgeous blue water. Local citizen went here quite often, it's like your own natural swimming pool or pond to be exact. I dont really know how deep the sea is, and there is a ladder. The place itself is surrounding by beautiful white sand beach, so if you get bored you could walk on the beach, but I bet you wont. Unfortunately, the pond is covered by walls which seems unmaintained. From the parking lot, I only saw unmaintained building full of laughing kids, and it turns out, it is the place. If you are hungry, you could buy banana fried from local served with chili sauce.

This sink hole is about 40 meter diameter connected to the sea is really unique. There you can see young boys jump from the edge into the hole for some tips from tourist.
It is a pity this unique nature is surrounded by man made wall.

Beautiful place, there quite shallow clip you can jump of...
the top of the water is freshwater and the bottom is saline...
at the holyday you will meet many boys and girl who will cacth the coin if you throw it to the water...
The view quite fantastic, but to bad there's a wall surround the sinkhole make it not natural...

This place is a great for body cooling in a hot Celebes weather. just a small pond, about 10x10m2, near beach, 1 hour from Palu city.
I got to Pusat Laut while I wait for plane to Jakarta, after my holiday at togean.
The pond deep is about 4 meter, even when I jump, my feet still can't touch the bottom. People there build a wall around it, I think it decrease the natural scene of the pond.

This place is excellent place to let your adrenaline run free. The place is quite hard to find since it almost venture into the forest. You could ask the local to guide you there. You only need to pay parking fee to enter this attraction place. Once you get inside, you could see a giant hole surrounded with hand rail. The hole leads to a natural sea water pond. The height to jump down is about 6-7 Meters down. It's very fun to see some tourist are already standing in position but afraid to jump down ^^v. The stairs to climb up is really a pain in the behind for fat people. i spent nearly 5 minutes to climb back up. If they fix the stairs, it could be a better attraction (hmph!). Totally a place you must visit if you are coming to donggala.

I don't know why they build a wall there..and paint it in many color.
It seems that we enter a public swimming pool, i prefer it like the way it is ( no wall and leave it open )

But however it is a must spot to visit during your stay in Palu or Donggala.
And yes, it need to be repair for public facilities ( toilet, parking etc ) but definitely NO FOR THE PAINTING WALL
