Belmonte is on the Road of Don Quixote and is not in a very well traveled location. Many of my Spanish friends had no real idea of its location. But it definitely well worth seeing. The castle, restored on two occasions is one of the best in Spain...free from the hoards of tourist that flock to Palacio Real in Madrid... More

This is a lovely castle well worth the time and trouble getting here especially since they have modified the front drive so vehicles can't park at the gates spoiling your picture.

A castle that you can explore extensively - from the dungeons to the highest ramparts. Great views of the countryside. Great displays inside the castle with a lot of history available on handsets.

The castle is very well preserved and has some fantastic views from the castle walls, there are a lot of original features still remaining - really worth a visit, wear comfy shoes as there are a lot of steps :-)

We visited Belmonte Caste with our 5 year son. It was extremely interesting - we used the sound apparatus (supplied as part of our entrance fee). The restoration is very well done and there are loads of exhibits (some original, some reproductions). The outside terraces are excellent to explore and the views are wonderful.

This castle is a brilliant excursion for Vaughan Town members in Spain but also good for regular tourists. The sun baked bricks of the 15th century make it a beautiful and cheap attraction to go to. The rooms are stunning and you will feel as if you are 8 years old once more! The three floors of the castle are... More

If you find your way to Belmonte then you have to stop her for a tour. It is only 7 euros and worth the time to see the view the history of the region.

This is in the Castilla La Manche region of Spain and is considered to be one of the best four castles to must see. It is a 15th century restored castle and the cranes have gone and there is just a lonely builder touching areas up. This is quite magnificent from outside and from inside and you will not be... Although not described in any of our guide books this castle is worth a visit. It is a great example of beautifully restored medieval architecture. The views from the walls on the city are amazing and the interior is arranged in different styles. During our visit there was a medieval fair - this even improved the experience.

Belmonte Castle is on the hill outside of town – overlooking the small village. Started in the 4th century, the castle is an excellent example of medieval construction and design. Though externally the building is strong and could be easily defended – the interior is very nicely designed and attractive - Intricate wood work designed floors and staircases – also... More
