This was a tour splited in two parts, first we went to La Planta, one of the vineyards of Arzuga in which you will see wild boars, deers and, of course, grapes between the manor of Arzuaga family and a historic tree. Then we returned to the winery to know about the process of grape until it became wine, ending with a tasting in a special room. This is a big winery with a lot of people and visits, I think it is better to make reservation than arrive without one. This place it is in the same complex than the Hotel, Restaurant and also there is a Bar just to drink something in the midtime. Transport between vineyards and winery is not included, you must go in your own car.

We were a big family and spent the whole weekend there (hotel, winery tour, etc) and had as booking for lunch at their fine dinning restaurant (El Taller). The food was outstanding and the service was very good. The sommelier nailed it with the wine pairing, really good. However, they gave us a table that was too large for our group in the middle of the restaurant, which was almost empty. When we asked to change it to a round table with a view that was empty, the owner refused on the grounds that one had to make a booking for that table and that there was a party coming at 5:30pm (It was 2pm!). Completely irrational and stubborn, could have made our experience much better with no cost but she needed to prove she was in charge and so decided not to let us change a table in an empty restaurant. Very disappointing because the chef and the other staff are great, but because of the owner, I wouldn't recommend the restaurant to a friend. You don't do that to clients.

We somehow ended up in the middle of a Spanish speaking tour and tasting here. There were 20 of us and no one else but our guide, Chloe, spoke English. We did not care since we have been to quite a few tours in our time and don't necessarily need to hear the narrative over and over again. This tour was special because we were led by Chloe to the top of a hill about 5 miles from Arzuaga to the livestock grazing areas where they are raising 300 wild boar and their babies plus 600 deer. Chloe opened the gates and led us through the paths right in the middle of the herds who seemed not to notice that we were there. It was an amazing experience, which we will never forget. After about an hour, she brought us back to the cellars and explained the fermentation process which mercifully we did not understand. The last portion of the tour was in a lovely reception area where she poured three of their best wines and served trays of tapas. Wonderful place, wonderful tour and exceptional tour guide, Chloe. She does speak English and was very concerned about us not understanding. She made it a point to ensure that our questions were answered and that we were included in the presentation as much as possible. Definitely a must see.

The lady that gave us the tour was extremely documented and explained all the process very clearly, we have been to many bodegas but she stands out. The sampling is not much but it is reasonably priced
