About
In 2001 our family decided to realize their dream: give everything up to dedicate themselves to country life and wine making. Thanks to their experience on the energy sector, they designed one of the most technologically advanced wineries in Europe and decided to build it in Bastardo, our hometown: already in 1312 the urban land register certified the millennial viticultural vocation of this area, accross the “road” (Signæ) of the ancient Flaminia, where – it is said – there was a host which served a “sweet an flavoured” wine. The winery is surrounded by 30 hectares of and by several medieval castles which draw a unique landscape scenario. Thanks to the technology we can minimize the use of synthetic chemistry: the result are high quality natural wines, with a minimum quantity of sulphites. In our opinion, the DOC/DOCG specification does not fully exploit the extraordinary characteristics of Sagrantino, so we use technology to get more wine obtain smoother and more fragrant IGT wines.

Great wine and hospitality
Jul 2020 • Friends
Nice place some minutes drive from Todi. No sulfites in their wines! Very friendly reception. We opted for the tour of the winery, wine tasting, and some snacks. It was a nice experience for a couple of hours. Truly enjoyed it. Rosso Bastardo is a great daily wine. Their Riserva of Rosso di Montefalco is very good too. The older Sangrantinos are great.

Great Umbria Winery
Jun 2017 • Friends
Found this gem driving from our rental house near Todi to Montefalco. The people are very nice and great hosts. Tasting room is beautiful. The wine flight tasting was great. However, the best of all is the wine. It is fantastic. The Rossobastardo is one of my all time favorites.

Visit this vineyard!
Mar 2015 • Couples
We visited this Umbrian vineyard a few years ago. They have excellent Sagrantino wines like 100 % pure DOCG Sagrantino and Montefalco Rosso. Also white wines are good. If you visit there ask if they still produce a jam made of sagrantino grapes. It's good with the local pecorino cheese. Friendly and hospitality owners, too!

Wonderfull Personal Tour
Sep 2015
We found this winery between Todi and Bastardo.
Although not large, we were able to see the vineyards, cellar, barrel and barrique room, and the drying process. We sampled several wines and were not pressured to buy anything.

Bastardorosso - the best red so far!
Nov 2014 • Friends
BastardoRosso is indeed the best red wine that we have so far tasted in Umbria. Smooth and very drinkable it goes with everything or solo and will not give you stomach ache (as some red wines with high tannin content might do, - at least for me...). Very friendly and helpful people at the cantina. Ring the bell when the door is closed.....

Great wines, Nice tasting room
Oct 2013 • Couples
We are spending some time in the Todi region touring and stopping in at wineries between Todi and Montifalco and stumbled upon Cesarini Sartori. I am not a white wine fan, but the Grechetto was a amazing - very crisp. The Reds were outstanding - their everyday wine RossoBastartdo was great, (even better was the price) but their Sagrantino was the best, good tannin lots of fruit, rich flavor. The host speaks excellent english with a good explanation of the wine and the vineyards. Stop by for a tasting - you will not be disappointed.
