Visiting this park was on my list of "to see places" from the very beginning on. Therefore I was really looking forward to actually going there. The trip by car from Seoul took about four hours in total (we drove the last couple of miles directly next to the sea and took a couple of wrong turns, therefore the time... More

As soon as you walk into the entrance, you will find yourself surrounded by tons of phallic structures. There is even a giant mobile sculpture in the middle of the stairs...no kidding. Be sure to allot enough time to walk around the compound. The Fishing Village museum is interesting.. make sure you spare sometime and walk out to the tower... More

An entertaining stroll filled with as many penis sculptures as you can imagine. Apparently, fun for the whole family. A little difficult to get to without a car, but worth the 3,000w entry fee.

We went there on a rainy day but had a lot of fun in the park. The museum within the premises is interesting and educational. You can learn a lot about the legend, fishing, and depicting symbols of sexuality all around the world.

We visited Haesindang Park in September and I was surprised by how beautiful the park actually was. I thought it would be many penis statues in a large area but actually, there were fewer carvings than I thought and the park was mostly just some stunning views of the Bay/East Sea and beautiful gardens that are really very well maintained.... This one goes into the weird and whacky category of attractions. It is really in quite a remote fishing village probably about 20kms from Samchoek. Apparently they are there to appease the spirit of a drowned virgin and to attract tourists to an otherwise unremarkable place. The whole complex is built along a steep hillside area, so not really a... More

The name speaks for itself...this is really quite a pretty park with nice views out to sea, and with loads of phallic sculptures in all shapes, sizes, guises and functions....from totemic symbols, phallic zodiac sign. stools, swings, see-saws....you get the picture. After a while you'll start seeing a penis in almost every object around you, and spotting the most absurd... More

We visited the park today after hearing many tales from others. It cost 3,000 won per adult to enter and we feel it was worth it for the beautiful views of the Sea. To enter you walk straight up a a walkway of large rock steps, very difficult walking for many of the older crowd we saw. The park is... More

You'll have to pay to get in here and it's a little out of the way, but it's worth it. I've never seen anything like this. The park is just filled with penis. Everything, penis. Penis benches, penis statues, a penis water feature.. even a penis see-saw. Too many hilarious photo ops. There's also a random old-style traditional korean house... More

As soon as I read about this place in my guidebook I told myself "I have to find the time to go there!". The place itself is amazing with beautiful views of the rocky coast and of the bay of the nearby fishing village. Plus you will admire penis sculpures everywhere, remains of now-defuct Penis Sculpture Festival of Samcheok. The... More
