We arrived to Mir at the end of the day without expecting to find anything, we just liked the name. But having gotten there we saw a wonderful castle and its surroundings that we can hardly forget! And the sunset was so beautiful!

Massive castle, nice grounds, shop etc. Toilets on site. You can get a photo taken by the official castle photographers on arrival, with the castle behind you.

In this castle I was little bored. Exposition was little poor. I was scared of steep stairs.:D Ticket is not value of his price. It's enough for me to look parts without ticket.

Mir Castle is a UNESCO Heritage Site and has been restored several years ago. Enough parking spaces near the castle, cheap entrance fee (3-4 Euro per adult), audio guides available in English. Visiting the main exhibition and 2 towers may take a couple of hours....More
