The impressive Mir Castle Complex is a well deserved UNESCO World Heritage Site, located in the town of Mir, in Grodno region (90 km away from Minsk and 29 km away from Nesvizh Castle). Accessible by public transportation. Helpful staff. It's ideal for a day-trip. Plus, there are another places of interest near as well. The castle was extended and... More

Mir Castle is a well-preserved, historical site that has a lot to offer for everyone who likes medieval architecture and design. Even from the parking lot, the view of the castle is alluring, and you start to imagine how it would feel to live in this piece of gem with a nice pond nearby. Inside, you can visit different parts... More

UNESCO Heritage Site. Comprehensive restoration work was finished in 2010 after 27 years. We went on a guided tour of the castle. The guide gave many details on the history of the place, particularly focusing on the 16th-19th century. Not much was said about recent history. Only when asked what happened at the castle during World War II it was... More

A very beautiful castle and a big pond beside of it that are worth a visit. Mir belonged to the expanding Duchy of Lithuania. There are exhibitions available on-site. After visiting Mir, i advise to visit Niasvisz castle which is not so far away, you will not regret it! You will find a nice restaurant inside.

Nice castle in hour-ride from Minsk. Cute region and sights. Very cheap tickets. Beautiful architecture and nature all the way to this place. It's open till 6 PM, so you have to hurry if you travel 2 castles in one day.

This is a beautiful building and very interesting. Lots to see and even some information points in English, a rare bonus in Belarus. Well worth a visit and pleasant way to spend a couple of hours.

Nice, small and a bit boring castle, plagued by the constant lifting and landing of a helicopter taking tourists up. For nice photos go to the other side of the ponds and castle lake. Inside is a bit...meh. It's a square box with a square courtyard. Interesting history though. For active travelers much more interesting to hike around in the... More

As a Unesco World Heritage site it has special status. The main attraction is the outside of this building and the inner courtyard. Inside the castle not much remained from its past. You can have a very nice walk around the small lake and enjoy the stunning view.
