great place to visit with kids especially with the play area and can really enjoy the countryside here aswell as visiting a fantastic house and gardens and brushing up on some history.

The turn off the A6 is very tight if travelling towards Manchester so take care. As Darcy was not in (probably seeing that Lizzie Bennett) the house with its many items can entertain you instead and there are multiple rooms open and well set out....More

The house is well preserved with some fabulous furnishings, murals, gardens, and artefacts. Photography is allowed but no flash. Quaint tearooms/café. The guides are friendly and knowledgeable. We visited Lyme Park with my parents on a Saturday afternoon, the house and gardens are fantastic especially the Italian gardens the LEGO exhibition is a fun touch. This is definitely one of the best NT properties we have been to.
