As parents are always looking for things to entertain young children at the weekend we thought we'd visit space port along with a ferry ride. Bought the family ticket- ferry ride was okay. However Space port very disappointing. Not much to see or do, maybe were spoiled as we have great museums in Liverpool. It used an hour of our... More

Thank you for the review, I'm sorry the visit to Spaceport did not meet your expectations. We recommend Spaceport for children aged 6 and over and would encourage all visitors not to miss the recently upgraded space dome theatre show and Explorer 1 simulator ride which are the highlights of a visit to Spaceport. The Sci- Fi exhibition on the... More

Apart from the price and the star wars bit up the stairs I can't see what else has changed at Spaceport. Same gadgets, same show, same simulator ride. All done within an hour. Value for money ...no Not when you can pop across the water and visit the world museum of natural history for free.

The staff were really friendly. The Space Dome Theatre was fun and educational and the Explorer 1 Space Ride was like being on a roller coaster thought space. Only negative comment is the seats on the ride being metal were a little uncomfortable at times. The Star Wars exhibition on the 1st floor was great too.

Fantastic place to take the children. Lots to see and very informative. Brilliant if they are taking science in school. There is a cafe inside but take your own as quite expensive. Great day out. Then go on the ferry over the mersey.

Combined the visit with the U Boat museum and the Mersey boat trip which made it financially worthwhile. For this it gets marked up. The children enjoyed it which is the main thing. Loads of information on show about the Solar System which can take some time to read . The simulator is a bit of fun while the domed... More

We do not feel this was on a par with another massive space museum/centre we have visited. However, it was worth a visit and the Star Wars exhibition filled it a bit. We enjoyed the trip over the Mersey and bought a combined ticket. The virtual 'ride' you can go on is a laugh and people of all ages seemed... More

Visited with 2 grandchildren aged 10 and 8. There is something for everyone. The visiting Star Wars exhibition has all our favourites, Yoda, Chewbacca, Ewoks and R2D2 and many more figures and artefacts. Enter via the space pod then lots of hands on exhibits and information. We took a ride in the simulator and saw a planetarium show. The children... More

The spaceport is laid out alright with some informative pieces, the simulator is alright and the planetarium showing a bit dull but the whole visit could stretch to 2 hours if you've not been to a similar place before.

I have been a few time, each time with a deal so haven't had to pay full price . Personally I think it's overpriced as it only takes an hour or so. It's nicely laid out and do informative but is certainly not in the league of the Kennedy Space Centre. There is a small simulator and enough to kill... More

Thank you for your feedback - we will take your comments on board. Did you get a chance to see the new Sci-Fi Icons exhibition upstairs which opened last week? It's one of the biggest private collections of Star Wars memorabilia and will be running for the rest of the year. More
