We first took an hour long tour of some of the main attractions, led by a local volunteer. Then we wandered around the rest of the gardens in our own time. They have some fantastic plants, trees and flowers to admire, all laid out in...More

So much to see, the laburnum grove was at its very best, also the handkerchief trees. Very well maintained and laid out, a real gem in the crown. Well done National Trust.

We returned this week after a gap of several years and we were NOT disappointed. I just love Bodnant with the contrast it offers between the formal gardens by the house and those magnificent trees down in the valley. It's my idea of paradise! Roses...More

What a lovely relaxing garden to visit. The roses were in full bloom when we visited and the stroll down to the old water mill where we were able to sit and have a coffee was sheer delight. A National Trust Garden at its best....More

We were able to visit the gardens just when the Laburnum arbor was blooming and the roses were still in bloom. Great to roan at leisure and marvel at the size of the enormous old trees that are everywhere.

We really enjoyed visiting these beautiful gardens with their formal and informal elements. The Dell which follows the cascades of the river down quite a steep valley is stunning and although steep has lots of comfy well placed benches to rest on and admire the...More

When are you going to renew the separate disabled map.?it is most annoying to set off down a path to find steps at the end. Another problem is because of the loose gravel nature of the paths Wheelchairs tend to slide out of control.Far more signage is needed on suggested routes for Disabled visitors and notating routes unsuitable for wheelchairs

Hi, Regarding the signage, we are currently undertaking a full signage review which will (hopefully) start to see signs phased through the Garden from autumn onwards.

Good afternoon. I'll be driving through Conwy on Sunday and was thinking of stopping at Bodnant on my route home. Do you know if the laburnum arch will be in bloom next weekend? Or am I just too early? Thanks

Hi, it would definitely be worth calling in. The Laburnum Arch is now showing colour but not yet in full flower. We're hoping by the middle of next week (w/c 22nd May) it will be giving a spectacular display.
