The castle has been maintained fairly well for how old it is. We only spent 30 minutes because we got there at 4:30 and that was enough time for us to explore.

We walked from Conwy along the estuary and then into Deganwy. It was a lovely sunny day, so perfect walking conditions. There are different routes to climb up to the castle but we went via Vardre Avenue and the track next to All Saints Church....More

Okay, it's a bit of a hike with the dog in toe but the views from the top, excellent. from Snowdon right round to the isle of Man on a good clear day.
