There was a reasonable choice of food. Neither myself or my husband were terribly happy the first night. The starter (a trout dish) was delicious, but the two mains not so. My curry was very hot, maybe a wrong choice on my part, but my...More

Get in quick if you find it open to the public (because it isn't very often). The place is an absolute gem. The Giffards have been here since William the Conqueror , their descendants live in the Country house so it's got normal touches amidst...More

Enjoyed our visit today to Chillington Hall. A private house, so you are only able to view the ground floor. The grounds are lovely, azaleas and rhododendrons at this time of year are in full bloom, grounds designed by Capability Browne.

We had the privilege of attending the Carol Service in December in the Drawing Room. Such a beautiful house and a real delight to enjoy Christmas festivities with our local BGT celebrity and the Salvation Army Band
