Peccioli is a delightful Tuscan town containing an interesting museum of Russian Ikons. The museum is housed in the Palazzo Pretorio which also houses a more modern art collection, also worth viewing. The Palazzo is interesting in its own right. Take note of the opening times. In summer it is open on Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 10.00am to 1.00pm and from 4.00pm to 8.00pm. and in winter the hours are from 10.00am to 1.00pm and from 3.00 pm to 7.00pm. When we visited on a public holiday, the museum opened 1/2 hour later than advertised. But that did not matter as we had a wonderful coffee and biscuits at a Il Grano eluva and sampled some of the local produce.…
