Nice small chateau for a relaxing visit during the weekend. Inside is nice, visit takes bout 1 or 1,5h, garden is spacious and green. And actually very true what the reviewer before me said - it'sthe easiest castle to pretend to be your own which makes the visit very fun. They have interesting tablets in each room explaining the purpose... More

Let me get this "negative" out of the way: it's a little, just a little, work to get here. But the positive side is that, other than the sheer elegance of the place, it's the best asset - few people bother to make the effort. You'll have the place practically to yourself. I spent a whole August day here and... More

Very nice place , well reserved . I haven't been inside to the Chateau , but outside , it's also pretty awesome. Got a huge open space behind of Château , very nice downhill view , and around it, there is huge forest .

We visited here as we were running out of time to visit Versailles and wanted to have visited at least one castle during our trip to France! There's an easy access car park across the road, although aim to get there early because it fills up very quickly. There's also a massive garden opposite that car park that you can... More

Worth the travel there by car. You need a GPS for sure, but for 7.50 Euros, the admission fee was reasonable. Gives a good sense of history. Great large grounds for very long walks on the trails. Take unlimited pictures (no flash).

If you're staying near Disneyland (or even in Paris) go visit this castle! It's cheaper, calmer and closer than Versailles. The castle is well maintained and the garden is huge ! A really nice place to have a piquenique for example. Also it's easy to visit for example with kids as the castle is not that big.

Day trippin' is always a joy while spending intense time being cosseted in the wonderful throes of a Parisian holiday. Within an hour's journey aboard a choo-choo there's a plethora of magical journeys to be experienced. My concierge asked which castle in my opinion has played host to Prince Philip, marce Proust and Madame Pompadour?. He laughed at my unusual... More

Excellent chateau to visit if you don't want to spend too much time queuing at some other big chateaux... Close to Disneyland Paris, RER A: Champs sur Marne.

It is a hidden gem. I have been to Versailles, Le Louvre, and many other old palaces in and near Paris before, but only this morning did I have the true pleasure of visiting Chateau Champs-sur-Marne. I love it because it is small (everything is relative) and gorgeously designed. The architecture is stately yet lovable. One could imagine what it... More

Since it is not located in Paris, there were not many tourists. At least I could enjoy the tranquility while I was walk around the garden and inside of castle. It recalled me Chateaux de Versailles a little bit but smaller size. Fresh air of course, if you are tired of crowded big city, pls visit small town and have... More
