Great off leash dog park; walking trails; horseback ridding trails - bring your our ride; free summer concerts. Friendly people; see the Hartwood Mansion. I visit every month - nice all seasons. Lots of free parking and the roads are always clear.

Always loved the outdoors! Glad I found a more sophisticated park in the Pittsburgh area. Love walking my dogs here. I prefer early mornings or weekdays as it can become quite crowded. Nice place for kids my parties as well. Check the event calendar if you are interested in these kind of things, they offer lot of different things to... More

We are lucky to live less than a mile away from this great place. It is wonderful for walking/jogging through the beautiful wooded property. Also, every Sunday night they have free summer concerts. It’s really nice to bring the family, some chair, a blanket and picnic basket and enjoy the concert. It is not to be missed if the weather... More

To start one of the roads leading to the attraction was closed due to a bridge out (Saxonburg?). So we needed to reroute which added 20 min. Our car used the address provided and our Garmin nearly sent us up a wagon path into the woods. Realizing that wasn't right, we back tracked and found a small sign (another 10... More

We had our engagement pictures done here. The park and the ground are so beautiful. There are plenty of options for pictures and poses here!

The BEST thing to do in Hartwood acres is not longer there. (Celebration of Lights.) However, it's great for 5k fun runs and movies, concerts in the park. We hope that one day they will be able to have the celebration of lights again, but it is a great space!

My friend and I are always looking for an off the beaten path adventure. We've toured The Bayernhof Musical Wonders Museum and explored the hipster capital of Pittsburgh, Lawrenceville. It had been years since I toured the mansion at Hartwood Acres, so when she suggested we do so, then lunch at the Hartwood Restaurant (Whispers Pub which was fabulous, salmon... More

Hartwood(Hart actually is the English word for deer) is a super place to walk, jog, hike, bike, take the family, take the dog(there is a dog park there also). The mansion and stables are exquisite. The land is over 500 acres, the Middle Road side provides free concerts in the summer.

This equestrian park is part of the allegheny county parks system. Mary Lawrence willed her home and 600+ acre land to the county. It's a lovely area with wooded paths and a country home to tour. On Sunday evenings during the summer, enjoy a free concert on the grounds!
