We visited the gardens during a trip to Limeuil. The entrance fee was €8 per adult which was fully justified by the variety of plants and trees. The views from the gardens are astounding, and well worth the walk up the fairly steep paths. One...More

The steep climb through Limeuil village is matched by the steep descent on a narrow rocky path to the carpark. But, if you want a panoramic view of the confluence of the Dordogne and Vezère rivers and the beautiful surrounding countryside, that's the price you...More

Disappointed for the entrance fee but there are some nice aspects. The village is lovely and overall we would have preferred longer doing that. Can't help but compare these gardens with those in other parts of France and other countries. Not any resemblance to those...More

I'm not a great garden lover, so was a bit sceptical about visiting. The gardens are not particularly formal but there is a lot of information in both english and french about the gardens and agriculture generally. There are plenty of mature trees so quite...More

The gardens are very beautiful and somewhat different, but I believe its excessive to ask for 8€ (adults) / 5.50€ (children). I particularly enjoyed to see from above the confluence of both rivers. If you don't mind the steep climb, I'd recommend to park at...More

At the top of the village these recently restored gardens have been interestingly and informatively restored with a garden looking at plant dyes another "witch's garden" looking at herbal plant remedies. Lots of good information for adults and children - wooden doors let you see...More

A great half day as a couple or with young(er) children. The gardens are peaceful with a few activity areas for children. Great views over the town and onto the rivers. There is limited food at the gardens (mostly ice cream, crisps etc) so it...More

Well worth the stiff climb up from the bottom of the village, very adequate parking off the Vezere valley road. Staff welcoming and helpful, good shop, small café, dog friendly as is most of France. The views of the confluence of the Vezere and Dordogne...More
