We got to go to this garden when the entrance fee was free, and to be honest that was too much. I am a keen gardener and have worked in the garden industry for 30 years. Save your money and go to a good garden in Britain. The only saving grace is that the village of Limeuil IS worth a... More

We've never made it past the tea shop here. They sell Benoit de la lune ice cream here which makes it well worth the visit. The garden is shady and cool and peaceful compared to the bustle at the bottom of the hill.

The views were nice but the gardens were nothing special. Maybe interesting to some botanists but not beautifully displayed, except for small water garden.

Hello and thank you for providing us with your feedback. The Panoramic gardens of Limeuil allow you to benefit from an exceptional 360 ° view over the village and of course on the Dordogne / Vézère confluence. But the gardens of Limeuil, they are also thematical gardens and as many trails interpretation that are there to explain the origin of... More

Limeuil is an interesting medieval village, and right on the top is the site of the former chateau, now gardens. it is quite expensive to go in, but the gardens are extensive, interesting, and have lovely panoramic views. As well as the trees and plants, there is a witches' garden, outdoor draughts and some games. The gardens are worth a... More

These charming gardens have great views across the landscape, as the name suggests, and is divided into various "zones" which you meander through as you circumnavigate the gardens. They are not particularly remarkable from a botanical point of view but offer welcome shade, tranquility and some interest in high season. There is a small shop selling books and presents, cold... A quite unusual place to visit. The walks vary in length so there is something for everyone but well worth the effort. the manicured hedges are interesting but the walks are superb with random activity points

We had a wonderful day here. We got to the town early and spent the morning on the edge of the river, my children having fun paddling and swimming. Plenty of shade to sit with a picnic blanket. Some market stalls we behind where we bought some food and enjoyed a couple of hours. After we took a walk up... More

We discovered Limeuil by accident but would advise everybody to visit there. It is a lovely place, the gardens are fantastic and loved the handmade ice cream. Great visit with kids too...

Limeuil is a beautiful village, and the walk up from the riverbank to the gardens is delightful, through the narrow old streets. The gardens themselves are slightly disappointing, and not up to the beauty of the rest of the village. However the views from the top of the confluence of the Vézère & Dordogne rivers is wonderful.

After a beautiful climb through a fabulous little village you will find the gardens. The climb itself is great but it is worth noting that there is parking at the top, which might be useful it you have a buggy or mobility issues; however, the drive might not suit inexperienced drivers as there are some very steep and narrow roads....
