Supporting the cause

They all do an excelent job. I though it would be like the zoo where the seals do many things but they dont. They just take care about the seals until they are ready for real life... read more

They all do an excelent job. I though it would be like the zoo where the seals do many things but they dont. They just take care about the seals until they are ready for real life and show you some history where you can find several stories where the seals were/are involved. i love that.

We had a wonderful day with our kids at Seehundstation. The kids enjoyed the seals and they've learned a lot! The entrance-fee is rather expensive for families. There are some picturesque fish restaurants near the station and kids can also play around. It is close to Hamburg, so families living in HH can easily plan a day-visit there.

This station is located in the North of Germany, and great day trip from Hamburg. Only 7 EUR entry to support the great work they do, rehabilitating seals, you can spend about an hour in the site, but can walk around the fields all over. A must is to go have some food at any little fish shop in the... More

Friedrichskoog,Seehundstation, was formerly located in Dieksanderkoog. A Koog is a town surrounded by dikes where the land has been reclaimed from the ocean. In the Netherlands they are called Polders. It takes about 75-100 years for a Koog to be created.
