The golden sand is as true to colour as the photos. Easy swimming at this time of the year with plenty of space on the beach even though a lot of people around

The beach was very pretty particularly as it was a still sunny day and the place was packed with people although a Friday morning which meant there were a lot of people on sick leave getting a sun tan or on the dole adding to...More

Clean white sand, warmish water, just amazing. Swam a couple of times. Very safe. Not crowded. Parking at the edge of the sand. Various water craft available for hire to keep children and adults amused.

This is a wonderful golden sand beach. Great rock formations and views and is clean, accessible. Fantastic for exploring and most activities and boat tours leave from here so there is a hub of activity but not overpowering. Really nice and a must if you...More

On the edge of the Abel Tasman national park this beach is bust but provides ferry access to the pristine beaches along the coast - boats leave direct from the sandy shores.

We did a day trip from Kaiteriteri with Wilsons- went up the Abel Tasman coastline calling at little bays, dropping off and collecting trampers. Clean boat, friendly crew, great scenery.

The campsite was mobbed - almost tarpaulin to tarpaulin - I would recommend booking into the privacy of a bach if you can afford it! The beach was busier on the Kaiteri side than on Little Kaiteri

I have already answered this question a few weeks back. I do not know about bus schedules, I'm afraid, and in any case would recommend renting a car in order to get around New Zealand: the roads are generally quiet and the... More

I agree that a car is the only way to go. The Kiwi companies have worked well for us. If time allows, I recommend you spend time further north at Golden Bay...the east side has terrific access to the less crowded north... More
