I recently had the pleasure of making a weekend trip to Appledore in Devon. It’s a truly beautiful place and in the heart of the town I came upon the Appledore Gallery and the work of artist Zoe Hyde.
I was immediately struck by the vibrant spirit of Zoe’s work. She has an amazing talent to interpret the landscape around her in a beautifully abstract fashion that is full of colour and layer upon layer of wonderful imagery.
I was so struck by her work that I bought two pieces last weekend and I could easily have bought several more.
If you get a chance to view the work of artist Zoe Hyde I would encourage you to make every effort to take a look.

A beautiful gallery with 3 incredible, distinctive yet complementary resident artists and further work from regular guest artists.
I love all 3 styles but Josie Ross’s work has to be my favourite with its subtle colours and relaxing scenes. One of her beach pieces hangs proudly in my front hall, reminding me how lucky I am to live near the coast.
Funds permitting, I would buy a piece from every one of the exceptional artists in the gallery!
A ‘must visit’ in Appledore.

You always get a friendly welcome and the gallery is a lovely showcase of local artists. A great place to visit when in Appledore.

Beautiful little Gallery in the historic fishing village of Appledore. Stunning collection of varied pieces. Chance to meet the Artists too. Recommend.
