An excellent stay made special by the staff led by Tony, Fish, Chris, Mackenzie and Jamie.
The atmosphere was pub like but excellent for pleasing drinkers, eaters and coffee, everyone welcome.
All the extra touches made it a very comfortable stay.

If you have a couple of hours to spend and want to loose yourself in creating a wacky mosaic mirror or a fabulous driftwood mobile then go and play in Sea Green. Jose is on hand to guide you all the way and to share her 'found' jewels with you.
My friend and I have just spent such an afternoon and oh how we enjoyed ourselves! The time flew by and when we left, we proudly carried out our works of art feeling as tho' we hade achieved something.
We shall return to do try our hand at Decorating a piece of furniture next as we have now been bitten by the bug.

The lady who runs this shop makes everything herself from bits and bobs she finds on the beach or in junk shops. I loved her mirrors surrounded with broken plates. We bought 2 seashell/driftwood mobiles, one for us one as a gift, as they too were very pretty reminders of a lovely holiday in the area. It's tucked up a lovely little back lane called Market Street I think. It runs parallel with the quay behind The Quay cafe and Johns Deli/cafe.

We stayed in Appledore for a week and I think I went into Seagreen to look around practically everyday! It is such a lovely shop and you can spend ages having a look at all the creations sold. We bought a small table that Josie, the owner, upcycled by using peices of glass from former glass windows. We also bought an array of smaller items, like the apple dolly and the ship tiles - some were for presents and some were for me and my daughter. You have to go there!

What a wonderful find!!
A shop full of ingenious gift idea's, made with love by the lady who runs the shop.
Loved the coat hooks made out of cutlery!!
Trip to the shop made even more interesting, when we were left in charge off the shop whilst Josie (shop owner) ran an errand. Fantastic!! what a privilege!!

I liked all of the recycled makes and it is a very inspiring shop for creative people. Lots of good ideas for things to make at home. The shop is run by a lovely lady called Josie and she told me how to make some of the things. My favourites were the little felt birds and the mosaic letter magnets.

After visiting this little shop recently I was really struck by the unusual, beautiful and recycled (bonus!) things on sale. I've been back a few times and have always found the owner to be really friendly and helpful so was very surprised to read the review above. Also suprised to hear the that the reviewer thought it was 'pricey' - considering most of the pieces are hand made (or 're-made') on site and really are works of art, I consider them to be very good value. I guess for people who are used to buying stuff thats been made in the developing world by someone getting paid 2p a week it probably does seem pricey - I don't have much money but what I do have I'd much rather spend on something beautiful, unique and locally produced!
Anyone visiting the area should definately have a look, it really is exceptional!

We stopped in here on a recent visit to Appledore after reading about the shop on TripAdvisor, we wandered around the shop for half an hour deciding what we can make at home... or not! We bought a few bits and came away with several ideas. Very friendly lady runs the shop and was only too happy to tell us how to do things.

Gorgeous selection from furniture to trinkets. Upcycled/recycled loveliness to tick the sustainability box and remove abit of your consumer guilt!! Unfortunately didn't get the chance to attend any of the fabulous sounding workshops that she runs but looked like a great way to spend a day getting creative juices flowing and learning some new tricks in a beautiful spot :) Definite recommendation for gifts, beautifying your home and some inspiration!

I am so delighted to have found this wonderful shop - Sea Green of Appledore will be my first port of call for birthday and christmas presents and especially when I am looking for a unique gift for someone special. The draw of this place for me is that everything is made by the owner, Josie Ross who is clearly extremely talented with an eye for creating useful and decorative items using 'found' items like shells, driftwood, pebbles... everything and anything is put to creative use. The huge bonus is that the prices are so affordable which is a change from other 'craft/gallery' shops. And Josie is so warm and personable and has that 'special touch' which makes browsing and buying such an all-round lovely experience. I'm going back, definitely going back to buy more... and more!
